Wireless Devices Development

What was it?

The process from inception to ship of encrypted keyboards, USB and PS/2 receivers, handheld and wireless mice, and presentation remotes is an interesting one. The process begins with a device concept. Then follows the process of prototyping each functional element (keyboard, mouse, RF interface). There’s always the constant process of keeping up with the latest and greatest new devices. Next, the functional elements are integrated into system prototypes. After much software writing and testing, the pre-production plastics are combined with the final circuit boards. Finally, the devices must go through FCC emissions validation.
