One of the biggest problems in the media industry is the management of imagery. It turns out that each and every artifact (cup, poster, print, etc.) must be warehoused. Why? Each is a separate creation. There is no master image. The Altamira ISS was targeted at this. Build a distributed server that could hook into any asset management system and deliver images scaled on demand.
