What was it?
Dell’s hardware management software is based on a protocol abstraction stack written in C++ (STL, boost, Xerces).
What it looked like
When was it?
2010 – present
What I did:
- Developed cross-platform (Windows/Linux) software in C++ (with boost and Xerces) that abstracts device protocols (SNMP, ICMP, IPMI, etc.) so that Dell’s device management software can focus on managing devices
- Lead the effort to take the software from the Windows platform to Linux, making it cross-platform and standards compliant
Operating Systems:
- Windows, Linux
Development Environments:
- Visual Studio, Eclipse
Programming Languages:
- C++
